A wallet that is believed to belong to Helen Robertson, missing since July 5, 2016 was found by a young boy and his father on April 24th. The brown Fossil-brand leather wallet was spotted on an embankment of the Bronte River behind a Lowe’s on Appleby Line in Burlington, Ontario (map below). The pair had been fishing before heading to a football game at Norton Park (near Dundas Street and Tim Dobbie Drive). They had every intention of turning the wallet in to police, but it was forgotten on the bleachers and later found by a groundskeeper.
Police have ground search efforts underway in the area of Appleby Line and Harrison Court in Burlington by the Search Incident Response Team (SIRT), Tactical Rescue Unit (TRU) and Police Dog Services.
Helen Robertson, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, was last seen at her home on Millcroft Park Drive in Burlington on July 5, 2016, before leaving for a walk.
