Roy (George) Taylor, white, 6'4", 215 lbs, with hazel eyes and grey hair, was last seen April 2, 2004 at his residence near the Bruce Trail in Stoney Creek (approximate map below). At the time of his disappearance he was wearing black corduroy pants, blue/grey plaid shirt, dark green hooded jacket, a grey toque and black winter lace-up shoes. He was immediately reported missing by family members, and while he has no known medical conditions, his disappearance was out of the ordinary. He is an avid walker, though "not necessarily on that trail," writes the Hamilton Spectator. The police at one point believed Taylor may have arranged to go missing voluntarily.
It was speculated that remains found in April 2015 in Paramount park (along the Bruce Trail in Stoney Creek) could be those of Taylor, but this has not been confirmed.
